Adam The Magic Music Man update
I’m currently booking in all my regular clients and taking more bookings for Children’s Parties in December. I’m receiving a higher than usual amount of enquirers for July 2019 too ( which is also a very busy time of year for Children’s Entertainers). Once all of my regular venues are confirmed, it’s a question of juggling potential customer’s preferred dates and times with my remaining available slots.
I’ve always received great feedback from my customers on the quality of my performances, which drives me to improve and I really do believe I’m continuing to improve as a Children’s entertainer. In my view, any kind of performer or entertainer (no matter how much natural ability they may posses) only really produces high end performances with plenty of experience (something I can safely say I have). The question is: How do you tell potential new clients that your Magic shows are genuinely highly regarded as even the not so good entertainers would say they are great? Thankfully, word of mouth still exists strongly along side the internet and word of mouth has also worked well for me personally. I also value my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Adamthemagicmusicmanchildrensentertainer/ as it’s a treasure chest of hundreds of photographs from children’s parties I have performed at over the last few years and post from parents that have booked me. I have to admit, keeping your presence on the many platforms that the internet has to offer is challenging and time consuming (something to bear in mind when calculating fees) there is always something to learn or be frustrated by, for example, I’ve just purchased an SSL certificate for www.adammagicmusicman.com which means that it will now display “secure website” in the address bar instead of “Not Secure” yet another annual cost!!!
As far as my other entertainment endeavors go, I continue to broadcast the Adam Freemantle show on Coast FM Gold every Wednesday afternoon and I’m learning some new music material to perform on guitar. My daughter (aged 8) is learning piano, so we practice together and my piano skills are improving ( all be it slowly) too.
My Son (aged 13) has recently started to learn and perform magic (which I wasn’t expecting) he seems to have the tools to develop as a Magician/ performer, as a consequence, I’m treating him to a weekend at www.blackpoolmagic.co.uk the magic world’s version of Glastonbury in terms of size and popularity.
