Magic Memories

I performed a Magic show yesterday for a 5 year old little girl at St Albans’ Church Hall in Hindhead. I was setting up the magic show, when a mum approached me and began to tell me about her own memories of the magic show she had for her own childhood birthday party. The Mum told me that it had taken place during the 1980’s and that, although she couldn’t remember the name of the Magician, she remembered that he had given the kids a mini vinyl record to take home. It was great to hear of this mum’s memory of her experience. I thought I’d share this story as it highlights just how special having a magician at your child’s party really is. These memories are vivid and remain in the minds of all those birthday children. I believe this is down to the uniqueness of the experience. It goes without saying that I would advocate a children’s magic show as a must have experience to add to the bank of fantastic and magical childhood memories we carry with us for life. PS for the record, I too was a mere child in the 1980’s.
